I think how it's works is anything new or updated through appworld since 2.0.1 will be encrypted. There is nothing they can do about what's already out there.

Ok - 2.0.1 hasn't stopped putting paid apps on from the app store from your pc.

Is there any confirmation that this update brought app encryption with it?
I don't think this update contains anything in terms of preventing piracy, I believe they will still disable sideloading (as it is now) in future updates.
