    Hi,

I'm heading in the South soon, and i would like to bring my playbook with its charger. Anyone knows if the playbook will handle the power difference?

Anyone would like to suggest me anything regarding power adapters, etc?

    Thanks

    South? How south?

I think the US and Canada use the same standards and plugs.

Generally, you will only need something to change the shape of the plug as the pb's charger is universal as far as current/power go.

Sorry guys for not being clear by south.

I'm heading to Punta Cana, but im not sure which power type they use overthere.

I think its 220, rather than 110, like in the us and canada.

Read the charger...it says 110-240V. You will only need a physical adapter to fit their plugs. Walmart has them in their luggage section. About $14.00

Every hotel usually are equipt with plug adaptors, just ask it from the front desk or room service. But bringing your own is not a bad idea

The Dominican Republic uses the same outlets as the US & Canada. I stayed at the Hard Rock Resort in Punta Cana in March 2011 with no issues.

I was at the same resort in February; no issues.

Same electrical outlets as in Canada. Not a problem at all. Now,if you were going to Europe or Asia, then you would need a travel adapter.
