First try 50 or 100 files. If it goes quicker repeat that.

If not-> Turn off PB-wifi, Connect you PB via USB -> Try again

I've occasionally run into slow downs when trying to copy a ton of mp3's back to my pb and also have found smaller chunks can work better or, at least, seems that way.

My laptop would give me crappy transfer speeds too. Turned out I was using a slow usb port. I moved to a different one and things got much better. You may want to check into this. (My HP laptop had 3 usb ports, 1 on the left - very slow - and 2 on the right)

It may be caused by a power management problem:

    • Right-click on "My Computer"
    • Select "Manage"
    • Open the "Device manager" branch
    • Open the "Universal Serial Bus" branch
    • Double-click each of the items in turn
    • If the item has a "Power management" tab:
    • Deselect the option labeled "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"
    FF22 and diegonei like this.
