Yes, it is possible. It has been a while since I did it, but to begin with you need to make sure your connection to the phone is unlocked if you use a password on the phone. Even if you are not using a password on the phone, open one of the Bridge apps to initiate the connection. If both devices are on the same wifi network, the transfer will be faster and use wifi, otherwise it will use Bluetooth to transfer the file.

You may have to use a paid app to do this. Not sure if the stock file browser on the Playbook will do it. I used the paid App File Browser. Files and folders, also a paid app will do it. The help files for the apps should show how to do it.
