The included Evernote seems to keep formatting well when copying text to BB Code (Bulletin Board Code, not BlackBerry - haha). I've been also using that extensively. Again, included as a stock app.

4-5 hours isn’t amazing by today’s standard
If you know you are ok with Docs2Go, that's good.
YouTube is painful with the default browser, but yes it works. StereoTube works fine luckily.
Outlook still syncs great with the PlayBook, calendars and all.
However, as much as I like my PlayBook, and I still use it, if you want to do general purpose web browsing, it is a big fail. I am pretty happy with what the browser on the Passport can do in comparison.
Even if the browser worked, the device is far too slow for today's bloated web sites. Don't get your hopes up.
If I were to get a tablet now, I'd probably pick up one of those cheapy 8" Windows 10 tablets off Amazon.
As long as you have no problem with office compatibility (word, spreadsheet), you're good to go.
Youtube is more lightweight these days. I find it to be working well in Origami.

I use my PB for mostly ebooks and videos, some games. If you need a bedside clock, check out the BeClock Night app. The display stays on but at low brightness level. I do have more modern devices, but I plan to keep my PB until it stops working.
I have two PlayBooks that are still used from time to time as well... if you have them, use them. But if someone were looking for a low cost small tablet in 2019. Buying a PlayBook is a waste.... better to get a FIRE tablet for the same money.
Personally I use a larger Tablet (Surface Pro) that runs Windows, so I get real Word and Outlook. But I know several that own these new Fire Tablets and they run circles around the PlayBook and it's dual core 1 Ghz process, SGX540 GPU, 180 PPI Density Screen, Bluetooth 2.1, weak WiFi and unknown future. Never mind getting "new" Batteries if you need them....
Speakers was it's shinning capability... but I use earbuds or a sound system.
