I have not touched my Playbook in about 6 months. My Phone can do everything and more. I don't see a future either. Dummy screen yes. Tablets. no.

    Well, the PlayBook is dead.

Funny how the Z10 keyboard still corrects "playbook" to "PlayBook".

Dummy screen would be fine if there is no lag etc. Otherwise give me a tablet for everything but calls.

They are deaf and apparently dumb. Maybe you could bbm to them using another company's device!

Erm, there's a MAJOR difference between lets say an Android tablet vs a Playbook "thing".

On an android or iPad, you can ACTUALLY do things, be under no illusion that the other tablets are as useless as your Playbook, because they can do more than the Playbook & Z10/Q10 combined lol

There is a future in tablets, UNTIL Google or Apple say so, not when Blackberry says

Tablets still have a very bright future for me. They just have to make them lighter, faster with more capabilities.
Those who make such silly predictions want just to push on the market their new products (phablets).

I don't see myself using my phone to surf on the web. I am not Hawkeye . nor will I buy a phablet. Huge cell phones are not for me. It makes me look silly.

If we ever came to a point where we did all of our computing from one device then, yes, that device would most likely be a phone.
I don't think we will ever see a time when people do all of their computing from one device.
Two people live in my home. There are 3 laptops, 2 desktops, 2 tablets and 2 phones.
I can imagine a time when the laptops, desktops and tablets may be replaced by more robust tablets but I doubt a phone will replace everything. Perhaps a phone, large monitors (TV) and a home server.

tablets have a bright future but the market will go either to a electric few who want a tablet or it will expand even further specs will improve and support will continue to grow. I can't understand where people can get the idea they won't be around in 5 years maybe alot of devices will be gone by then but by then we will have introduced our self to a new generation of tablet computing

It's funny that we can see this and the one time leader RIM pretended they were in the tablet business for 5 minutes. Then Thor lies and gives up on the tablet. This is a good business executive? I know the Thor people will say this began before him and not his fault but he gave up and you are just blind if you believe he has nothing to do with RIM failure.

"Tablet will be dead in 5-year time" is just only a lame excuse of BlackBerry to convince lame PB users that there is no significant value to bring BB10 to PlayBook... and of course, as it always does, "lame" excuse will work on "lame" people...
