The OS 2.0 for playbook plays Pandora even when the screen times out! Then adding the bluetooth speakers, done. Thank goodness!!

Am I missing something, I'm listening to Pandora as I type on my PlayBook (multitasking ). I'm running the current official PlayBook OS (1.0.8.6067). I've been a member of Pandora since my 8330 days and its working just fine on my PlayBook.

You must be using it through the browser then?

What's wrong with the browser version. I use it all the time without problems. That's the beauty of the playbook. I don't need an app to do 90% of the things that I want to do. If there's no reason to make an app, I don't see the reason to waste the time and money on development and maintaining it.

But we need more apps! Because...because...never mind.

For xm and google music I just add the "bookmarks" to my desktop. Works great. As stated, who needs an app. Until android apps can use bridge, this will definitely do.

What is your setup for this? I am on the latest OS 2 but my pandora, which I run on the browser, shuts down when it goes in standby mode.
    thx

I don't understand why Pandora release an App for Playbook.

Pandora already has an App that runs on QNX. See this video at 15:13 minutes

    .

That's Pandora running on the same OS as Playbook.

Have you all tried Apollo? It's Pandora-based and you even need your Pandora account to sign in. All your saved "stations" you created will show up. The native app plays flawlessly and is one of my favorites.

Sideloaded the regular Pandora app as well to compare and had to delete it right away because I couldn't stand the annoyingly obtrusive ads.

Apollo is amazing. Try it and see for yourself.

Apollo is also great on the late, lamented HP Touchpad which had a sound maybe even better than the BB Playbook. Both much better than N7.

Recently downloaded Apollo a few weeks ago. Seems to work great!! No complaints. I impressed my son (Mr.Apple Lover ),had about 5 applications running while listening to music, swiping back and forth......He just shook his head and mumbled about how this 150 dollar tablet works so smoothly!
    "Chalk one up" to BlackBerry!!!
