No. The folder is created in Ghost Commander. I was trying to point out a way of using the search function in the selection box accessed from the paper clip. I am showing it for the video section but it would also work. for docs, music or pictures. You can access first level folders by name or search for key words. This is useful in getting email attachments or for sending to the cloud.
I am honored to have my Solar video showcased in your picture!!!! I'd recognize my house and birch tree (willow?) anywhere!

I do admit resorting to a computer for functions such as this. Some much easier using Explorer to create folders and move stuff around.

Is there a way to create a folder that will display alongside the three folders that are already in the Pictures app.

Yes. Just move some pics into your Photos folder or create sub-folders in the Photos folder and move pics into those.

That is what all these posts are about. Folders created in Ghost Commander in the Pictures Directory show up as Albums in the Pictures app on the PB screen. Ghost Commander is available free in BB world.

EDIT: Pacoman03 beat me to it. And he is much more knowledgable about uses of Ghost Commander than I am. His information is accurate and informative.

Unfortunately, as I think might have been mentioned, the Pictures/photo app is one of the few on the Playbook that recognizes subfolders.

To F2's point, if you use a Windows computer, I've found the easiest way to manage both photos and music is simply to arrange in folders etc. in Explorer, attach the PlayBook with the USB data cable, look to what drive has been assigned to the PlayBook, and then simply drag or copy/paste to either the Pictures or Music folders into the PlayBook's "drive." The folders will show up exactly as on the computer (although unfortunately without the file names on the individual photos).

Well, as one who don't read the F-n manual - what did you learn?

You're in a folder with a lot of files in it. Bring up the keyboard, hit "m" (or n or p etc) and it will take you to the first file beginning with m.

Shame on me for mentioning that dirty word. But there may be some who choose to refer to it. Proof reading for a living is not my career choice either.
