If you're asking if Geovision will release a Playbook App sometime soon, you need to ask them.

My bet will be "No". Instead, they would wait for BB10 when apps should run on BB tablets and phones.

Meanwhile, you can try searching the forum on "baby monitors". There's a lot of discussion on using IP cameras with the PB.

Try looking for an android app that can be converted for use on the PB or a way to access your cam though the browser.

Is there a web version of the app? That has been my solution to a number of similar issues. The PB browser is very capable.

What OS are you running on the PB? I recommend the latest beta, 2.1.0.840.

My PlayBook does not support MS Project 2010. Shame on RIM.

Ok, how about writing to the dev and asking them if there is anything they can do to help? Devs are usually interested enough to at least reply.

You should try IP Cam Viewer. Is available on App World and supports Giovision. Its an Android port, but works well. (disclaimer: Giovision is one of the hundreds of camera types listed as supported, but I have not tested it.) It works a treat for the mix of IP cameras I have.

    Just go here

    GV-AView, Application Android

and download android apk file (it does not look that it has good ratings in the first place)

    Then

go here and convert apk to bar

    PlayBook .apk to .bar converter

    Then

just sideload the bar file and you are done. the converted app might not work on playbook but most apps do work so try it. if this does not work then you need to check something else.

i sideload apps all the time. most of them work very well.

    good luck
