have a playbook on 1710 and bold on .534 and for the life of me i cannot get it to tether. i get a blackberry 9700 not found errror?

bridge connects no problem?

i tried with a cheapo sony tm506 flip and it finds the phone

any help or advice ?

just wasted 2 hours with plqybook support with his guy from manila. he knows less than me and is just flipping thru his stupid binder looking for an answer.

still on hold and no resolve from blackberry support

would be a pitty to have to return both my playbooks cause they wont tether

wow thats over 2 hours of wasted time. I must say that those tech people that are trying to help you solve problems are pretty pathetic. I had this guy who wanted word for word the error on my playbook so he could look it up on his binder.

I finally gave up and just hung up on the guy. He even phoned back 2 times.

For those of you interested this is what I did to solve my problem.

I was running .534 on my BB 9700 and .1710 on Playbook.

I backed up my phone, wiped it and downloaded the latest Bell .534 for the 9700. Restored my phone, bridged it to playbook and then tried the tethering and it finally connected to my 9700. Before that it just said Blackberry 9700 not found.
