nothing... but if it is 'showing' that means it is not hidden, and that means it is public.
and im pretty sure that is considered advertising
The point is that they did not run a campaign to advertise this new, great, price offer. They are simply working to clear out stock in advance of the upcoming Playbook 3G.
I have no problem calling a spade a spade, but have no issue with a company quietly trying to clear out stock. No illusions were ever made regarding inventory amounts. If they have it, you get the price. End of.
I got lucky. I walked into a London Drugs and they matched the sale price. I scored a 32 gig. Every Telus store is greater Vancouver was sold right out
The President of FutureShop/BestBuy Canada probably called Telus and begged them to take it off the Telus web site if they are sold out
they werent price matching. i called about a dozen of each, and the online stores.
im not sure how others got price matches but they all said no.
anyways... hopefully my family members will actually buy the PBs that they 'really really' wanted. im gonna sell them for $200 even and make about $50 (i have 2) and at the same time my family members will save $150!
I snagged one,now wait another 11 days to see if 64GB goes cheaper if not back to the store you go.lol
Did you notice the no returns policy? A screen capture of a Telus memo was posted on the main CrackBerry page earlier today. It mentioned the end of life and no returns.
I talked to a salesman at a Telus store he said some guy came in and bought 3. A few hours later there was a posting for 3 Playbooks for sale on Craigslist for $200 each.
My wife spent the day on the phone with Telus trying to get a 32 GB PB to no avail. In frustration she called FS and told them her sad story and they price matched a 32 GB for $149.99! I picked it up on my way home from work. Worst part is I paid full pop for my 32 GB on release day. oh well happy wife.......happy life!
that doesnt mean its him...
but that is a good idea
i was going to sell my 32gb to my aunt for $250 (with sideloaded apps and other stuff included) to upgrade to the 64GB
now i bought this one for her (and really hopes she still buys it) selling it for $200 will make me about $20 but save her $50, plus she gets a brand new product
That's funny, I went to Telus where I live, and they said they don't carry them and never had. "The playbook is being dumped by Rim and they were lucky to not have had any in the store". Really, I said, then why are people scrambling to find one if no one ever wanted one? He says, and I quote, "I have never seen one, isn't it an android tab?"

The return i'm talking about is the 64GB I bought Wednesday at a big box store.( Might keep if drops 50 bucks or so)
Have 14 days for return, it's still not open.

I bet you were in and out in 2 minutes... but if he would have actually started discussing the sale it would have been a 5 - 10 minute convo
