I just saw the post on the front page that playbooks were $149...
I called three stores in Toronto and they all told me that EVERYONE was sold out and that they were actually $299. Does anyone know what the problem is? Was it bad info on CBs part...
I would NOT MIND getting a 64gb for $149 (which seems to be the case based on the article picture)
keep calling around.
i found 1 here in London that says they have some in stock. i plan on going first thing in the morning to try to grab 3 32GB playbooks.
The sale doesn't start until February 3 according to that photo on the CrackBerry article. And it is hard to see, but I think it may say "TENTATIVE DATE: February 3 - 9"
So it probably isn't in their system yet, and .... it might be..... TENTATIVE
I'd keep checking tomorrow though - the local sales reps might catch wind of this, and have updated prices in their system.

agreed... i just want to make sure i get this first so they dont sell out.
if they change this to the website then price matching should not be a problem.
but are they $149? all the reps in Toronto said they are $299
how can i get it for $149 if the price on the computer says $299?
Also, would we be able to price match this???
Sale starts tomorrow. FEB.3
According to peeps at RFD most are buying today to return for discount tomorrow.
Not sure if stores would price match since it says while "quantities last"
but how can they have a sale if they are already out of stock?
By putting while "quantities last" in the ad.
It's the peeps buying them up a day early to return for sale price.
Even peeps buying them through their Teamwebstore but you need E-mail and password to login.
Sounds like it might be another IBM promo code story.lol

In that case, if i were telus i WOULDNT have the sale and keep everyone at that price and make them go through the hassle of returning the item... them have the sale the day after the 30 day return period. lol
Funny thing is, I called The Phone Experts here (which is a telus store carrier i guess its called?) anyways, they did have the Price as $149.00 for both the 16gig and the 32gig, but they didnt show any stock in alberta....
