    I believe that tablets are being marketed and designed more as an alternative to laptops rather than as a companion/extension of the cell phone. The playbook would have done better in my opinion if they had focused their adds on the bridge app and the many benefits it has it would have sold better. I wasnt interested at all, in fact I wanted an ipad to go with my iphone. I changed my mind when I heard about how carriers were cracking down on tethering. I found out about the bidge and went back to black.

    Its not just RIM that is missing the point on this. The HP touchpad would have done better had they sought the companion approach with the pre phones. Same thing with all the other tablets. They need to focus their marketing and development on that cell companion dynamic.
