So I thought I saw something in the manual about being able to swipe from the bottom border of the screen diagonally up and to the left to go "back" on some apps. Can't seem to make it work on the browser, always have to hit the tiny "back" button to go back. Is it something I'm doing wrong?

Nah. From what I tried, it only works when you press on a folder, and in the android player. And that's it as of now.
