USB connector / charger coupling should be more robust (look at bold 9000 and maybe go back to that component supplier?)

WEB BROWSER:
Please add a browser functionality to organize bookmarks into folders. There is currently no way to do this, severely diminishing the browsers usefulness.
there shojld be backwadd swipe lkke the one when you are settkng up the device for the first tome, in the web browser that sjoss the history of pages you have been the last 5-10 pages so you can choose how to go back.
tapping on the back arrow is tedious and time consuming to go back miltiple pages.
Arrow keys and <ctrl> and <alt> keys on the keyboard! :(
that is an A to E answer
some uniformisation is needed. that is cruticial. this is something my bb storm experience was all about.
wherever you are auto insertion should be the same: sometimes typing 2x space does not bring up the period nor the capital letter
wherever you are selecting text should work THE SAME WAY text selection is not a feature that many app offer and when its offered sometime
1) you need to to hold and hover the text
2) you need to hold until it prompt you to select
3) you need to drag the two mark to select
the user experience is all about the little things like thst
ob do k need to mention that autocorrect would be more that welcomed ;)
i dont hate the playbook this is a pretty descent device!
get SOCIAL FEEDS to pb, and make it available to be updated to bridge.
CUSTOMIZATION
We need some extra customization on PlayBook, like themes, ability to change font, etc..
TEXT ENTRY
Word Completion, auto- correct, Auto Caps, Auto Period insertion, word suggestion, etc..

Must be able to rotate photos from landscape to portrait mode; Not cool to view portrait photos in landscape mode only.
A great update would be if the bridge shared information on radio strength from your phone and displays in the status bar on the PB (with battery life). This seems like an easy way to confirm you have signal strength while tethered and avoid the need to take the phone out of your pocket for another reason.
Separate sound settings for notifications - messages, calendar and tasks. Also, make the LED on the front of the PB work for notifications too (I believe this may have already been mentioned).
Has anyone mentioned using a bridged BB's physical qwerty keypad for data entry on the playbook? I think that would be a big plus for those of us who dislike touchscreen "virtual" keyboards. It would also keep from hiding 2/3 of the screen with the virtual keyboard in landscape mode, making the most of the 7" screen. If it's already been mentioned, my apologies.
Way too many to list.
Most of the suggestions in this thread are likely coming in updates. So in a nutshell:
Dear RIM, finish this tablet.
-Paying customer
multiple updates. god it will take months.
Yes! That would be hugely helpful, especially if they could be used in conjunction with the shift keys to select blocks of text.
1. Screen is too sensitive
2. Bridge for other phone. I have an Android, i need a calendar and email in 30 days, or this is going back.
3. More updates
4. More apps.
I dont know if it is just me, but i find the bridge so slow on the browser that it barely functions. This is using both a 9800 and a 9700. This must be fixed to make it useful at all. Anyone else with this issue?
I used it a couple of times and found the performance to be slow, if the pages loaded at all.
-A swipe gesture from the bezel to adjust sound so u dont have to use hard keys or reopen music player to adjust sound.
-Also NEED improvement on the blurryness when using muti-touch in browser for zoom in and out.
-auto format text to fit screen when using pinch to zoom
-auto-correct while typing
-charging allowed while Playbook off
-Support more bluetooth profiles
-DLNA
Hardware
Usb otg
For later device
microphone input
Camera flash
10Mpxl camera with fast recording of pictures.
basically Im ready paying for a 7 tablet when it can also replace a camcorder and a still camera at the sae level of quality. Im not sure I want these feature in a phone because I want easy editing of the pictures (potential redeye) or video (montage).
Word to go
- accentuated letters support (with key combination, may customize one shift key?)
- adding words to a dictionary
- offer correction in selected area (for document using multiple languages)
- detect long pressure on 123 sym key as a temporary switch of the keyboard ending when key is not pressed anymore (like for shift)
- Double tap to come back to the initial size after pinching for zooming like in browser
- indent /undent with swipe gestures to save menu space
- remember the used main dictionary for a document
- insert pictures.
- insert follow able web links (read mode?)
Video app
- support subtitles
- support audio track selection
- support chapter markers
Powerpoint app: editing animation can come later but background templates would help.
Drawing app. To import schemes in powerpoints and word to go.
only 2 realistic things i would like to see
1) a tab button, while useless in a phone would be phenomenal on a tablet
2) i would love to see a 2 finger swipe for back and foward functions, i like gestures
love my bbs :)
It would be great if the Sheet To Go App would handle XLSX files...seems that only older XLS sheets can be downloaded from the Torch platform and used on the Playbook.
Probably been said before so if it has then this is my vote for ...
OS improvement:
* When in an app or browser use the right or left bezel to scroll up and down
* Swipe up from bottom bezel to upper bezel to wake device up, swipe down from upper bezel to bottom bezel to put the screen to sleep.
Improve speed of bridge browser
add sms to bbm on bridge
add call features to the bridge, send receive calls (same as bt headset)
I love my Playbook but there are a couple of things that would make it the ultimate tablet:
1. Folders and the ability to put folders on home screen for ease of access.
2. Ability to copy text from pdf files and emails. And the ability to zoom in on emails would also be good.
3. Docs to Go - this is one of the main disappointments for me. I was expecting a full version but was disappointed. Docs to go needs ability to have numbers and bullets, have 2 docs or more open at once and ability to save to different folders on the playbook and bridged phone. Slide show needs ability to create presentations.
4. Bridge is great but it is slow at times and the bridge browser sometimes just stops working. Also I have found that if I am tethered to my phone I lose the bridging function. Both at once would be great.
5. Spell check would be fantastic.
That's really it. If these things were done the Playbook would be the ultimate tablet!
