I currently have a WP7 phone and love it, but would love to find a BB phone that is not going to kill my wallet. I recently got the PB (which we sell in my store) and would love
to have a great 2nd phone. I am in the US and have AT&T.
Thank you in advance. I have looked on Ebay and Craigslist. Just a little to spendy or to far of a commute for the deal. I live North of Seattle.
I also hope that RIM gets their issues straight soon so they can be a more meaningful part of the market again.
I would just add a new line. That way, you get the best price on your phone because att will subsidize it. But, without info about your plan, I cannot offer better advice.
A workhorse classic is the bold 9700 - two years old you might be able to find a good deal - and it works well with PB bridge. Put OS 5.0 on it as OS 6.0 is a memory hog. Had mine two years and still going strong. I'm on AT&T.
If you want to go cheaper than that there are the curves...
My suggestion: stay away from the curves.
What's wrong with the Curves? I am a student (well graduate) and they are the most affordable for me right now and my 9360 is amazing!
Get a new Curve 8350i for about $125.00 (if you know how to shop), quad band, GSM, unlocked phone. You will just need to buy a sim card and pay as you go, have no contracts, and will now have the Bridge function available.

My experience with the 8350i is you will be able to bridge to the phone from the Playbook but unable to reach the internet as BES data service is not available on a Boost pay-as-you-go plan. 8330 or 8530 with a data plan allow full use of Bridge.
