I couldn't find a thread which listed the streaming video sites that work other than Youtube and Hulu, so I'm starting this thread. Please respond with other sites you've tested and whether they work or don't work.

Sites where full screen HD streaming video works on the PlayBook:

-- Youtube

-- Hulu, via FTWrath's BlackBerry Playbook Revolution

-- ABC, NBC, CBS

-- EpixHD.com

-- Vutopia.com


Sites where full screen HD streaming video does not work on the PlayBook:

-- Netflix. It uses Silverlight, not Flash, so we have to wait for either a dedicated Netflix app, or Silverlight for PlayBook

-- Hulu. PlayBook browser is blocked at the home page. You have to use a workaround that bypasses the Hulu home page, see above.

there is an app called online tv in app world. it directs the browser to online streaming sources works pretty well imo.

ch131.com works. shows movies and tv shows for free. some stuff is bad quality, but most are watchable.

I agree,when I try to watch a video on cbs.com the quality just keeps changing the whole time, really annoying.

I'm content with their quarterly report being able to stream live or cached from their site using FLASH!!

Definitely a sweet surprise - obvious but I honestly thought that "some restrictions" would be in place.

TennisTV.com is not working for me. The video archives is fine but the live streaming won't actually start.

I have been watching Live Cricket matches IND vs WI and also LIVE IPL 2011 matches as well and have no issues so far.

However, Willow.TV does not work as it is throwing media 'type' issues.

if you are into new movie previews like I am, the Yahoo movies page plays the videos great with no problem. Even going full screen with the videos was seamless.

Amazon Prime Instant Videos stream beautifully on the PB browser. If you are a Prime customer on amazon, you get the instant videos free.

hbogo.com won't work for me when bridged. When I go to the site it says, "To access HBO GO, you must reside within the fifty states of the United States of America." The problem with this is that I am in the US an I'm still not able to use the site. This also happened when I attempted to watch streaming video on nbcolympics.com.

Is there a setting that needs to be changed in order for my phone/playbook to recognize that I'm in the USA?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
