1) Expect nothing new compared to the one you currently own. At these prices, they still make a functional device. This one could be your toilet buddy or glove box unit even...I mean, your Grandma might want one! Stocking stuffers? Get the kid down the street to cut your lawn for the summer and then give him this as payment - hopefully he won't egg your house after he finds out it can't get BB10, but hey...

2) Shipping...I guess that makes this a Canada only deal. Didn't realize that. I often find that being Canadian doesn't entitle me to free shipping from the USA. Oh well, chalk one up for us eh? (See what I did there? 'EH!)

I can tell you that this is probably the best deal out there for a 'used' PlayBook if anyone wants a second one for media use, e-reader, or to replace an original that may have a nearly dead battery. I ordered a 32 gb from them a couple of weeks ago when the sale price was $109 & free shipping, down from $139. Ironically it was delivered to me on PB Doomsday Friday last week!

But what did I receive? I'm guessing it was just an open box unit or gift returned, but it was more or less new and hardly used if at all. The charge count on the battery was at one (from Battery Guru). The only identifier that it wasn't new-in-the-box, the protective screen cover wasn't on it. So $79 with free shipping is a steal !

Not a bad deal even for US buyers it is 32gb playbook for under $120 with shipping. I would definitely pay $80 for one with free shipping as a backup for my 64gb model.

Thanks for the tip. Just ordered a 32Gb for my wife. Already have one myself. Despite not getting BB10, the PB is a very good tablet especialy at the bargain basement price. Just hope the one we get is in as-new condition.

Used playbooks are junk prices in UK too.

So used playbook...battery at 70% healthy. Sloppy or busted usb, camera on error 4003, blacklisted serial... Wonder what delights await the unwary?

I'm delighted so far with the 32 GB which was delivered today. It looks like new and so far I haven't noted any issues. Battery Guru shows only 12 recharges and 95% battery health. Thanks Staples! Looks like they sold out on E-bay.

You got a great deal. All 178 of the 32gb models sold and all 50 of the 16gb models sold, none left to sell. Maybe Staples or another retailer will dig up some more to sell.

I ordered mine on July 6th and I still don't have it. They were paid on July 7th. I received a notification saying unit was shipped on July 10th by UPS. Shipping location is about 2 hours from where I live, so it should come overnight, even by UPS ground.

Yesterday, I emailed them asking waht had happened. Today I received a reply. They said they had more orders than they can handle and that my order was lost in the shuffle! They said they were shipping me a unit today and that I should have it tomorrow.

What puzzles me, is if they were sold out, how did they come up with an extra unit so quickly?

UPDATE: Unit arrived today. Wiped in April 2013. Battery been charged 12 times and health is at 88%. Definitely used, but seems perfect - not a scratch and has full packaging, new accessories and documentation.
