So I used my playbook like 2 years ago to watch series and decided to use it again yesterday, but it has been impossible for me to transfer any multimedia from my PC to the playbook, I even downloaded the Blackberry Desktop Software, it connects and everything but it says an error has occurred when I click any of the files/multimedia tabs
Can you enable file sharing over WiFi on the Playbook and try with that?

Windows recently (in the last year approx.) blocked an old fashioned connection protocol for security reasons. You should temporarily switch it back on and hopefully the Playbook will be seen again on USB
Try pressing the Windows key, typing "Windows Features". Within that big list, select the SMB1.0 support on and have another go.

True but if it's large video files that the OP is working with, it takes ages using wifi (in my experience, anyway). Would be nice to transfer by usb cable.
