The fact that you are beyond warranty might be an issue. Has the unit always had this problem? Had you ever contacted rim about it? I don't know if _YOU_ have a hardware problem. I just don't think that the issue is normal and _I_ don't think you should have to turn wifi off and on to work around it but that seems to work and maybe it's not that hard to do once you get into the scheme of it.
I guess you can contact them but don't expect too much at 15 months.
The PB has a one year warranty to the original purchaser. It also has 90 free Tech support. I do not know how Rim deals with "quasi-tech support v. warranty"
