I have been having an issue, recently, with SmartOffice not being able to connect to Dropbox.

I contacted their support, and, after a lot of runaround, they finally sent the following:

"Although our Smart Office product has been made available on your device, we are not planning an updated release for it. We are pleased to be able to help with work-arounds and advice, but do not expect to be able to improve the product with specific enhancements."

    Nice!

I am not surpirsed they will no longer support the PB. They WILL however hopefully support BB10 and once BB10 is on the PB it will be supported again. Its that pesky fragmentation thing that RIM has created right now

That is one of valid reason why PlayBook should be upgraded to BB10 i.e. to continuously supported it from third party applications...

If BlackBerry itself is abandoning the PlayBook, what would you expect from the third party developers?...

Thanks for passing on the info on SmartOffice. I can now stop periodically checking their site for any glimmer of an update.
Until or if BB10 finally makes it to my PB.

I think what's important is, does this app appear in the App world when ones selects a BB10 device.
I know I did the test (I indeed built a complete worksheet listing my "indispensable apps" for when (or... in case...) I'd have to decide upgrading the Playbook to BB10), and now I just can't find it back!

BlackBerry doesn't care about PlayBook owners issues...not since the Z10 launched anyway..

I sure hope you're right, Howie, and unlike all the CB posts to the contrary, BB10 will come to the PB.
