I did a security wipe of my PB because I was so tired of how slow it was getting. It is the exact same now.. and I didn't reinstall any apps or anything at all! Did I miss something? Shouldn't it work like new now?

Do not updated! Just use 1526 or 1753.

What are you comparing it too? I have found that using a new Windows 8.1 computer most of the day and my Z10.... makes my three year old PlayBooks age very noticeable.

But the last few updates did seem to slow the PlayBook down. If you can find the original PlayBook 2.1 OS and download it (wouldn't go back any further as pre-email was useless), you will find it is much faster. Just like if you install the original Windows XP OS and compare it to the one that is fully patched....

Did you do a back up of it or a complete back up free security wipe?

It is dial-up slow. Anything in simple browser or the regular browser is just ridiculously slow. It makes the playbook unusable. It just took 1:27 to load CrackBerry on the normal browser. Simple browser was 37.6 seconds.

It just hangs a lot, lags, stops...

Should I try something else? I don't have a laptop anymore so can't hook it up to a computer unfortunately.

If I remember mine would do that for the first 24 hours. But it was so long ago I don't remember if there was a good fix.

No that's just not right. Every time I've done a wipe (without backup - this bit is important) it has absolutely flown.

Perhaps try another one? Maybe it corrupted in the update?

Another wipe seems to have fixed the issue. It's slower than I remember but it's old so of course it will be! BB10 just spoiled me. Thanks for the help!

Yuppers, I use my Z30 for "almost" everything now, the 2 PB's are now doing duty as
    1: High end Alarm Clock
    2: High end Photo Frame

THe Z30 is what the PB shoulda/coulda been 'cept for the screen size and the processor.

Oh wait, I just found it's time to revisit the family photos.........
