I probably facing my first hardware issue. The case bulges slightly on the back side exactly where the Blackberry logo is engraved. Is this normal or is there something wrong? I'm just asking for it has got pretty warm, not extraordinary, but exactly where the engraving sits, during the time charging it.

Mine has a slight bulge since over a year ago. Same as always. There were some that the bulge was an issue and even grew. If you're concerned you have 90 days of free support from RIM.

There is heat transfer during the battery charge process due to the metallic BlackBerry emblem. Also, the tablet can heat-up during periods of game play especially the racing games. One my my BlackBerry PlayBooks has a slight bulge on the back but it is barely noticeable unless placed on a table top. If the bulge becomes very noticeable contact BlackBerry PlayBook Support.

some batch has it some doesn't. luckly mine is flat. but it does not mean yours is defected.

I have a bunch that are like that.. My New 64 GB is like that.. It annoys me but its because the bb symbol sticks out.. It came like that before i turned it on.

ok, it seems it is nothing too worry to much as long as it is not getting bigger. Despite, I will keep an eye on it for a few days/weeks.

From the skin shade, it's more likely from an African American descent. Probably inherited the bulge in the back

It is not normal, get it changed.

I had mine changed after I called the service center.

Wouldn't worry, though not designed in, it's usually cosmetic. If out of warranty you can fix it http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...urself-686790/ mine flattened itself with use, others get worse.
