I dont think the OS has a radio file. So you might have to load it seperately.

You must have loaded the leaked OS, which was for wifi only. The 3G/4G OS is controlled by the carriers, not Blackberry. Good luck finding the radio file to sideload.

You may have to roll back to your prior OS where the radio works. I think there were discussions of this in the LEAK thread about this OS. Good luck

HELP!!! Landed on the same 3G problem as well after finally pulling out of OS 2.0.1.668 which totally failed to upgrade. It's a minefield out there! Sucks to have to downgrade now that all the apps are actually working :-(. Any good guys out there with the link to the official OS 2.1.0.1753 for the 3G+ BlackBerry PlayBook? It would be sad to cheat on or shelve the BB PlayBook.

I have no idea if this is the correct file or if it will work, and use it at your own risk- but it might be worth a try. It's a bar file called "Carrier Data", and seems to have at least some files that are 3G/4G related, and who knows?

I sideloaded the file, but it didn't do the trick for the SIM on my 3G+ 32GB PlayBook running OS version 2.1.0.1753. Thanks to you, non the less, for the effort

My Playbook 3G+ 32GB has stopped simcard detection today. There is a few weeks after software OS update to 2.1.0.1753
I tried a hard reset by unplugging the internal battery for 1 hour. Doesn't help. I believe that it is only software lock, not the damaged hardware.

I think the lesson here is that Leaks and UNofficial OS updates for SIM card models should not be attempted unless someone has actually gotten an upgrade to work with the SIM card still functioning. There should be a warning.

No you are not. All 3g+ Playbooks peddled in the continent of "Europe" should be recalled. They appear to be totally unsupported.

If Blackberry carry on like this they could be finished as a company...... no hang on, they already are.

I have explored this problem and read from polish BB Community member, that during OS 1753 update, the original 3G+ bootloader has been overwriten by wifi only version. This bootloader has probably blocked the radio rom.
Possible solution is upload the original 3G+ bootloader by RIM autoloader.

Users in Europe may be able to return their units under the various warranties in the European Union. One guy did succeed since he purchased under the illusion that the pb would get bb10. The fact that the 3g units are not functioning well might be grounds for a return?????

I think there is only one way to recover from this and that is to obtain and run an official autoloader for the 3G Playbook. Can any one lay his hands on one?
