I remember reading a thread that side loading wasn't possible again after an update in OS1, does anyone know if this might be the case when the full OS2 comes out in February? My main concern is Kindle, Amazon still sends out that vague generic email on the arrival date for Kindle on PlayBook (probably never!), so the android version has been really good to many of us, i'm sure others have concerns for their favorite side loaded android apps. Anyone got the real skinny on this?

i'm on latest OS (not beta) and sideloading does work. i'm sure this will still be avaioable on os2. i believe it was mentioned here on the forums.

I don't think anyone here really knows. I did notice in one of the demo vids that the guy had Dev Mode on. Not sure if that means anything either way... Not sure how developers would test.

Without sideloading through the dev tools it would be a real pain for developers. I can't imagine RIM deciding to change that.

Sideloading is required for development. Otherwise we can't debug our apps.
