    Hi all,

I still have not loaded the new OS update and not sure I want to. My PlayBook is great and its the 64 gig and use it almost every day when at the house. Just plugged in some apple ear buds and sounds great. Ya I got a IP 4S work got me. My 9930 rocks. The 4S keyboard is so small and noting like the Z10 that I have played with. BB kicks AS S!

Should I? Or should I not?

My upgrade took maybe around 10-15 minutes...download, install, and reboot. No issues here with install or OS upgrade.

same thing here, quick install/reboot. No problems I see but I don't get very fancy with my PB. I believe there are extensive and in-depth posts under the "BlackBerry PlayBook OS" forum though if you want several dozen informed opinions. I read a bunch of them before I updated my OS. There are some sharp people posting here amongst us lowly users. Thank goodness

Like you, I was apprehensive about the OS update. I have 4 PBs of which 3 worked fine while 1 was somewhat sluggish, especially when deleting emails. I did not want to mess things up with the update, so I updated them in a staggered manner, one week apart. I started with the least favorite, the sluggish one and was very pleasantly surprised that the sluggishness went away after getting the update.

At one-week intervals, I updated the rest. I did not notice any improvement in performance with the others since they were fine to begin with. I did not notice any problems either. Bridge and Print to Go, which are most important to me, continue to work fine. Battery life remains the same. Now I love all my PBs equally.

My PBs are all "pure" BB, in that I do not port any Android apps, etc. No fancy work-arounds on anything. Just pure unadulterated BB PBs. Under such circumstances, I can say definitively that the OS update will not cause any problems.

I would say yes. The 9930 and PlayBook are a winning combination Make sure you have the latest OS on your 9930 as well, I had issues with Bridge on an older version of OS 7.1 that an upgrade fixed.

I updated mine. Not much difference TBH, but I know that, at least in its programming, its supposed to be more efficient. I like knowing that. lol
