I should have added to my list that the playbook has better controls, better wake up swipe function and its Origami browser is better than anything on Android.

Maybe the biggest difference is that the touchscreen is awful on the Nexus 7.
I'll trade you my 64 gig PB for your new Nexus 7 and relieve each of us of something we really do not appreciate. I'll even throw in $50.

I was bought a Playbook 64G last week. While someone said buy Playbook now not best, because we had many other choices like Nexus, Asus memopad...
But with me, my purpose when I decided to buy it is: View photos, play video, read ebooks...and I feel it's ok.
If I need to work I will open Macbook or using my iPhone to send email (Vietnamese and Japanese - Playbook not support).
It's means, I don't recommend you to buy it for work everyday. But you can buy for explore, some purpose basic, the love with Blackberry and the most is low price for a tablet although the hardware very old - 3 years ago.

Thanks, but I'm using them both. And the Nexus does hold an advantage for portability. It's lighter and smaller. (The screen is smaller, too. By a noticeable amount.)
