I've just put my PlayBook away. For the past year I've only used it for reading library books on. However media console overdrive just quit recognising the PlayBook. Reading on the Z10, but the screen is a bit small. :-(

Haven't checked recently but last time I saw the PlayBook on amazon it was about $60. Let's not forget that you can connect your BlackBerry to it through bluetooth so that you can browse the Internet through it without a carrier data plan connected to the PlayBook. That's a selling point they didn't necessarily take advantage of.

    New passport? Or PlayBook?
If you mean PlayBook, on the 9900 download the BlackBerry Bridge app (if you're with att, download bridge from here http://rroyy.com/bridge/ as att version of bridge is crippled. )

Open settings > bridge on PlayBook and pair the devices

I have my PlayBook charged up and I'm going to take it for a spin tonight. It was terribly slow the last time I used it. Typing anything into the browser took ages. I'd tap the letters but they wouldn't appear for like 3 seconds each.

Super slow experience here too. I even wiped it and only installed. A couple of apps.

OrigamI browser is slightly faster than stock.

nah.uhh - thanks so much for the tech tip! - and thanks for the correction, yes, I meant Playbook - I do covet a Passport something fierce, but have to wait a full cycle of seasons to see how ATT signal does here when trees in full leaf.
Thank you for the healthy link to BB Bridge - cheers!

We're a family of 3 each with a 64gb. PlayBook and we love them! My daughter uses hers almost exclusively as a MP3 or a video player and for that you absolutely can't go wrong. My wife uses hers as a Reader most of the time. And mine is a video player while on the treadmill using KalemSoft Media player. Hell yeah - buy one if only for the above. You'll never regret it.
