On my flight today I read a short article in the January Sky Magazine about Playbook. It praised the playbook as a great piece of hardware and mentioned it starts under $500. The article read as if the Playbook was already available so I am hopeful it may arrive sooner rather than later in Q1. You can read it online - the article is on page 33 as a side bar:
