Its dead. I think the light sequence is a dead processor, or whatever it was a few months back when it died and i checked on the forums.

Found it at the back of my drawer again today. Before it goes to the bin i wondered if parts could be salvaged or used. I am sure this is stupid, but it has 32g of memory in there somewhere. can i remove this to use as external storage for my laptop or something? A 32 gig solid drive for music would be cool. IS there a way to use it as an external monitor? Anything other than a paperweight?........

I am a bit gutted. i am meticulously careful and respectful of my things and it was less than 18 months old without a scratch. Just died on me and it is not the stack charging issue.

Can i do anything cool with it or the parts?

If you are electronically inclined I'm sure you could. If not there were some folks looking for dead PB to experiment with a hardware method to unlock PB. Might want to consider donating to them.

Is it that it won't charge from the USB port? My USB port died so I bought a rapid (3 pin) charger and I'm back in business.

Mine still works but I plan to keep it forever as a keepsake.
In the drawer next to my copy of OS/2 Warp and my AOL CD.

Forget the 8 track. Us real old technophiles had 4 track players. They were a lot like 8 tracks but were a bit shorter and had a hole in the bottom for the drive wheel to snap up into.

Sharpen the edges and use the dead BlackBerry PlayBook as a weapon to behead the chief executive officer and chief marketing officer.

Now that you mentioned DIAL, I have a phone with a REAL DIAL - those finger holes - none of those push button phones!

But does it work? You may be able to answer incoming calls but most phone systems have switched to DTMF dialing only where pulse dialing phones will not work.

Clarification: The phone will work on a DTMF only system, you just can't dial numbers.

Mine, which is hanging on my kitchen wall, works fine in and out. Use it in case of power failure. It's on AT&T.
