Does anyone noticed if it is possible to send&receive text messages via bridge on the PB w/ OS2?
Not with the beta but I think its a native feature in the final release. I've been using sms bridge from app world on my 9810 and its great. Send and receive sms on playbook Its 3.99 but I think it is worth it

I love sms bridge. I hope like heck it is incorporated into os 2.
What makes you think it will be? I hope so but since it hasnt been officially announced with all the other featuresat ces I play it safe and assume it isnt.
is sms bridge actually that good as 4 seems alot if it isnt and how does it work ????
heres a solution. convert your friends all over to bb and tell them to use bbm :P
hey Smithey,
I paid for "sms bridge" and I would say it is just ok. Yeah, you can read the text message on your pb and yeah, you can reply as well. But it is HOW its done that leaves a little to be desired.
First, the program goes thru all your contacts and adds a new email address as follows: their mobile phone # with "@bb.sms" concatenated at the end, e.g., [email protected]
If you have an existing contact with all of the email slots filled in, then it won't work for text messages from that person. Plus, if you add a new contact, or get a text message from someone who is not in your contact list, it won't work either.
Second, it kinda clutters up your email inbox with duplicates of your text messages that sit in your inbox as additional email messages. Plus, when you reply, the "sms bridge" program puts the words of the incoming text message into the subject line of the outgoing "email" message. When you're scrolling thru your messages, it is quite confusing and not at all an easy user interface, putting it kindly.
That's what I noted when checked at app world. Better wait for OS2.
