Ordered a 64g and have received shipping conformation. Already have a 32 that I have had since launch week and works fine. Should I wait for OS2 to power up the new one so I only do one software upgrade, or do it right away to make sure everything is working correctly?
I would definitely start that warranty right away and make sure there are no issues with it. Then you can tuck it away as a surprise when the OS comes.
Yes, I started my new 64 up right away to make sure all is well, fully charged it, then turned her off an re-boxed her. Will unbox again for 2.0, re-box, and maybe backup and sync every couple of weeks.

Bought my second 64Gb unit yesterday. My first one arrived late last week. After working with it for several days and watching the CB interviews with BB regarding the new OS 2.0, I was hooked. I can see alot of uses in my work for the PB as well as leisure time activities. BB needs to do some serious marketing for the PB, this is a great devise that is compact, efficient, and a joy to use. More people need to be exposed to the PB to appreciate it. OS 2.0 will make it even better then imagined. Updates that will follow will add even more features and strengths to the PB.
OS2 could still be more than a month away. There is no reason or advantage to wait until then to start using a PB, and there is a chance that there are potential problems that couod remain hidden until you start using it.
