Hi everyone
Just a question about my screen orientation.
Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
Sometimes it takes a while to rotate.
Is this normal?
Anyone else having the same trouble?
Thanks

Not sure if yours is slower than normal but it takes a second for it to rotate on most PlayBooks. This has been brought up already too so check out this thread:

I think it's normal, I sometimes have to exaggerate the motion to get it to switch. One thing I dislike is when I open an app that's in forced portrait mode and I've previously locked it into landscape, it gets locked in portrait. Kinda annoying but I'll survive.
Thanks for the quick response guys.
I really enforced the motion a couple of times and that seems to have helped.

Has anyone noticed cold weather affecting screen rotation? I know I really shouldn't use any smart phone when it's freezing outside, but (almost) everything but the screen rotation seems to be working fine. The rotation is not completely broken either, the screen kinda just gets a bit blurred for a while. Is there anything that I can do about this?
Can't say I have experienced this. But then I don't have my Playbook exposed to severe weather at all.

I like the fact that my PB doesn't rotate unwillingly. 99% of my use is landscape and I got upset with other devices when a slight move rotates the screen. This feature/behavior is great for me as I can turn my screen for demos without orientation changes.
To the OP : Note that for your PB to rotate quick, you just have to lean it vertically once in the needed orientation.
the only way it works perfectly is when you keep it perpendicular to the floor / ceiling
LCD's do that in cold weather. It would probably blur if you scroll a web page fast too.
Thanks for your help with this...much appreciated.

Right or almost in that orientation. I try to make sure that the edge or perimeter surface I want is "toward the sky." Just turning the playbook while flat on a table or desk does not change the portrait/landscape orientation. What happens is I pick it up to carry it somewhere and it may turn. I then notice and merely rotate it on the desk - no real response. You need to lift a leading edge up to get it to change.
Is this your question? It seems to have mixed into the original posting's text?
You can post in the Quick Reply Box and just write your text? If you quote, you want to enter text after the '/QUOTE' (I removed the brackets or else it might have screwed up this reply.
Or do you have some other question?
