I don't have that experience, but I have had a sort of reverse one where I will set it to around 75% and it will pop to 100%...

I didn't notice until you pointed it out. The same thing happens on my playbook. Weird.

Same with the battery meter, it's not an accurate meter, even tho the slider pops down after closing the power button and bringing it back up it's still "100%" I find. The meter must be too big lul

I sometimes have issues where I'll set it lower, but upon waking up the screen it's way to bright, only to adjust to the proper setting as soon as I open the power/brightness options.

ever since i bought it...i noticed it and had been driving me crazy... now im used to it

It's kinda like Spinal Tap... "Mine goes to 11"

I can crank it up to full brightness and then it still gives you a little more...

I notice mine has a hard time auto-dimming when its upside down. I think the sensor catches the garage light and it will dim and brighten erratically every once in a while.

are you guys taking about the screen brightness slider not going to 100? cus thats for the light sensor for when ur very bright light. the backlight only goes to a 100 when ur under direct sunlight

theres also autodimming, so if u set ur brightness high, it will dim it back again

In brigjt light the slider becomes inactive. I automatically goes full and you cannot adjust it.

I see. It was in the bright light then. But something was strange because it didnt go full.
I tried modifying autodimming at that time but didnt solve the problem....

The slider is working now though....
