The rubber gasket, facing front, has come loose near the right speaker. About four or five of the male tabs are visible on the loose section. It seems to be stretched a bit. I've tried popping them back in, but no go.

Is there a way to make a DIY repair? Should I cut off the loose stuff?

You might try some clear silicone sealant.

Mask off the screen (and anything else you don't want the silicone), and just apply a tiny bit to the points where you think it needs to be tacked down. Use some blue painter tape to hold it it place and you should be good to go. Just don't let it get hot, the tape will be a pain in the a** to get all off. About 3/4 hrs. and you should be good enough to at least "play" until final cure and then you can use it as a traction aid. (kidding).

Place a small bit off silicone adhesive on something as a control, and you will know when it's "cured"...

In another thread, someone mentioned using a black silicon caulk you can get from automotive shops.

Thanks. I needed explicit directions (being an all thumbs guy) and you provided them.
