Sent an email on 10/29. Received a reply on 11/7. The reply says:

We have received all you information and it has been approved as of 10/06/2011 for your voucher. It will take 6 to 8 weeks to receive your $100 MasterCard.

The 6to 8 weeksis consistent with theterms and conditions of the rebate offer and is a pretty standard timeframe for rebates in general. That puts me somewhere between 11/17 and 12/1. We'll see what happens then.

EDIT - I can't wait for a spellcheck utility for the Playbook. Until then I'm leaving my typos in protest.

i contacted them. they told me my application was approved but it would take them another 6-8 weeks to send the gift card. mine was submitted on sept 22.

Ditto, but mine went in on 9/14 I think.

I received my back, actually pretty quick. I did it online, I had the option to receive a credit card or check. I went with the check, don't care for those rebate credit cards.

Yep me too! Got my Staples prepaid VISA card in less than 4 weeks and spent it in less than 4 minutes, lol.

Finally the website has updated to

Still another 6-8 weeks I guess. Its already been 9 or 10 weeks hopefully some day it will come. I have 2 submitted and they both say the same thing

Rebate status now says rebate was approved on 10-6 and the other one on 10-7 Hopefully the Mastercards will be here this week

I did not get an update reply to 2 emails sent over the last few weeks but hit the link to check on the status update and saw this:

Based on that spelling, I'm guessing they typed their replies on a playbook

Out of the blue came an email from RIM rebate status

We have received all you information and it has been approved as of 2011-10-06 for your voucher. It will take 6 to 8 weeks to receive your $100 MasterCard from date your information was approved.

I called last week and this lady told me that they were having some problems with them something about the mastercard being approved for use in Canada and the US, i didn't quite understand it all, but she said that i should be getting an email at the end of last week but i never did. I called this morning and left another message. Here is her contact info. for those who would like to call.

well I still don't have my rebates. My wife sent yet another follow up email about 2 weeks ago and nothing. I guess I will have to travel to waterloo to get my money This is a bunch of crap. Mine has been sent in since september. I'm already on the fence about ready to jump ship and rim sure is pushing me. apple or android looking better all the time just to prove a point to these people.

Definitely another marketing failure by RIM.
Regardless of the rebate being processed by another firm, RIM should be following up to ensure full customer satisfaction.
