My friend ordered his 16GB Dec 1 and received it yesterday via FedEx. (his wife works at RIM)
They ordered mine Dec 2. I hope it arrives today or tomorrow. I'll update the post when it does.
I almost forgot my update...mine arrived Friday Dec 16th.
Can anyone confirm the price of the PB thru the employee plan? I know it was $99 for employee's but that is considered a benefit and they are taxed on that $99 on the T4.

What is the end price work out to be? $140? $160?
discounted price $ 99.00 + $13.13 taxes + $2.00 shipping + $40.00 for taxable benefit (is 40% as per accounting dept) = $154.13
I always wanted a playbook... I had been following the news about it coming out since the very srat and have always been a die hard blackberry loyalist.. And I am happy to say that I will be getting my 64gb playbook on friday from a last minute struck of the luck employee pricing

Note that that percentage for the taxable benefit would be dependent on the tax bracket of the employee involved, so it could be more or less than that. In the ballpark though.
Also I believe the shipping amount could be different... I think the above at $2 represents a one-quarter share of the full shipping cost.
My RIM employee friend received mine yesterday morning and I picked it up from him at noon yesterday. I gave him a hard time about the length of time it was taking but in all honesty. It was a $100 Playbook I had no problem waiting!
