Whatever it costs to fix is going to be more then you can sell it for at this point.

I think my wife or my daughter broke or damaged the charging port. It's not charging when I plug the charger in. And I know the charger works.

Does the PC recognize it when plugged in?

Honestly, I wasn't trying to blow you off when I said to wasn't worth fixing it's just a fact. They aren't worth anything anymore. They come up brand new on amazon for 99 bucks. Used it might be worth 50.. let's say you got lucky and sold it for 100.. any technician worth their salt is going to charge you at least 90 just to look at it. And then there's parts. The math just doesn't work.

I didn't think that all! I see what you're saying. I hate my playbook and want to get rid of it. But that may be difficult I guess!

On eBay last year I paid about $60 all in (shipping and taxes) for a 32 with a broken USB port.

Considering you're paying at least that, you're better off selling as is for $40 or $50 if you can and moving on.

If you want to keep it, Amazon has good deals on the chargers that connect to the charging port (about $10).

You might be able to fix it yourself. One of the most common causes of this is when the connector is inserted upside down. It will fit.
However it forces the center electrode out of position so when you put it in the right way it no longer connects. Normally you can take a small blade screwdriver and gently lift it back into position. You mention that the charger works so I hope that means you have another device with the same connector to compare it to. Otherwise just examine the port and charger end to verify the position.
When the connector is inserted the blackberry logo should always be up.

Thanks but I think the port is actually broken. Maybe if I can get a good angle, I'll take a pic and post it here.

But I did find the oem BlackBerry playbook rapid charger on amazon. I ordered ot for $10.

Or just get yourself a charging dock, and charge it that way.
