I did the security wipe & I have gained control of the PlayBook!

Now I'm off to look for answers as to how to connect my PC & my PlayBook, maybe via WIFI if I can't figure out how to get the DM to cooperate?

I don't what would have happened if I'd tried to put in the former user's password, but I didn't try. Instead I found out what the Demo Mode password is & accessed the Settings that way.

Get the Rapid Travel Charger that uses the magnetic pin charging charginhg port. to save wear and tear on the micro USB type AB port. Also get Battery Guru to check on status of your battery. Hopefully refurb gave you a new one. Software updates should be available over wi-fi without need to connect to your desktop.

If windows doesn't see your phone and install drivers, BD isn't going to find it.

For Netflix, you need a workaround. Like the Netflix app or play on.

Netflix really isn't viable away from home. You might want to look into Amazon Prime streaming, which works with different browsers that you can change the user agent, e.g. Origami and Fast. Connecting to your wifi network is easy:

You will want a more full featured file manager like Files and Folders or Ghost Commander.or even sideload the android ES file explorer. Oh and check out the Video Store for some 99 cent movies.
