I've bought refurbished from Best Buy. Everything was still pretty new, except for the outer box being pretty scuffed. The Playbook 64 GB I got has a lot of those lit pixels upon boot, but they go away after the colorful animations appear, i.e. no screen issues. Your experience will vary, of course.
