There is an application for "Blackberry Playbook" with which you can unzip files. Rar?

PlayBook in quotes? I don't think so but it has the capability to unzip some files now. I don't have any rar. to test it though.....

You can download the Free RAR Extract Frog from download.com

Free RAR Extract Frog - Download.com

Just open the RAR file you want to convert in this program and it will be quickly converted. Then you can proceed to sideload your bar files...

But it has to be done on your PC...don't know about converting within Playbook...

I think I may have read that Ghost Commander can do it. Or maybe it was another file management tool? Sorry I can't be definitive, but it gives you a direction in which to go, eh?

ES File Explorer is an excellent file manager able to unpack rar files, but it's an Android app that needs sideloading.

    You can grab it here:
Blackberry Playbook Android Apps | Good e-Reader Android APP Store - Playbook App Market

And you can use this tool full of awesomeness to do the sideloading:
    PlayBook App Manager

Or this one, in case you don't use Google Chrome:
    DDPB – PlayBook Tool

I second the ESFE recommedation. Awesome tool and a must have for anyone serious about file management on the PB. And it's free!
