This quote from the story below is as relevant today as it was when writing, interesting point of view considering RIM current state. With the Advent of HTML5, taking future care of the APP tonnage, ( http://forums.crackberry.com/f222/co...y-apps-626867/ ) QNX is said to be huge and future Prof, I'm thinking a turnaround in RIM is inevitable, Its hard to fight the naysayers but the turn will happen, on a dime and surprise everyone!

A key difference with Android, based on Linux, is QNX's micro kernel architecture. Linux uses a monolithic kernel so there is only one size, which is fairly large in order to support all of its features. QNX's micro kernel architecture allows for individual parts/features to be turned off or not installed if not needed.

So RIM can use a very small and feature-light version for low-end phones and the full implementation for tablets. This means that RIMM will be able to use one OS to address the low-end of the market while still adding features for the high end. Android and iOS would need to develop and maintain a separate version for the low end.

Jefferies... that Misek guy downgraded RIM to Underperform in April and slashed its target price to $24 in June.

Forget about those analysts. They do not not what they were talking about themselves. That same guy said "we were wrong" after RIM lowered their Q1 2012 earnings guidance.

How many times that guy changed his views on RIM in a matter of months?
