a friend of mine got a playbook and needs hebrew on it.
i've been searching for the past 2hrs reading what i can and haven't found any up to date info.

I have seen Hebrew on Playbooks launched in Israel, but I don't think it's an option for us here in America yet.

It is the same in the US and Israel - there is no native Hebrew support, yet.

However, Hebrew websites show up fine on the browser, and all of the bridge apps show Hebrew just as well as it is shown on the handheld.

On the PB system though, while hebrew fonts do appear, words are spelled backwards.

You can type in hebrew with the following app: https://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/52253

If needed, it allows you to reverse the text with the tap of the "reverse" button. You can then copy and paste into whatever app you are using. It has its limitations, but it's what there is right now, and it works.

Thanks for that. I just edited my HOMEPAGE.html file to add that link. On my bbphone I've got Ozshene Kalendar.
