Problems with Kobo and Podcasts
So I've been having problems with my Kobo and Podcast apps where they would just hang on start-up.
Kobo would hang after I seemingly entered the correct username and password and my podcasts app would never actually get passed the green circle screen.
I've just done a security wipe to try and make enough room on my Playbook but now I'm wondering if storage space was in fact the problem. Before doing the wipe, I also tried to update 3 apps from the App World but they failed on installation. No 'insufficient storage space' messages popped up but that could be a factor.
I did a few searches for Kobo and for Podcasts and I only got a few old threads. So I'm hoping that the security wipe will help.
I'll update this post as the installation progresses. I'm currently at the screen where 'additional files are required'. Hopefully the rest of you aren't very familiar with it.. which means that you guys haven't done a bunch of security wipes either.
Nice... just had to do a battery pull on my 9900. It crashed when I was trying to pair it with my playbook to use Bridge.
Sweet... happy to report that the Kobo App and Podcast application works.
I'm guessing I didn't have enough space on my Playbook which caused the crashes/fails to load. It would have been nice to know what the problem with a proper error message though.
Hopefully this helps someone else.
