    Emails that I received on my PB from one of my contacts is just a jumble of characters when he uses his Android phone.
    The same emails are readable on my 9900 and in Outlook, but not on the PB.

    His default language is French, although he is sending emails in English.
    Emails from his PC are fine.

    Any suggestions?

    I would suggest that your friend get a brand new Z10 from the carrier of his choice and stop the madness of being just another droid-toy pony boy. Hope this helps.

    If the emails are read fine on 2 devices of yours but not the PB, the issue is not with the sender.

    Are you receiving the email in the pb's native email app? Or using Bridge? Try using Bridge when they are readable on the bbphone and see if they are then readable on the pb?

    I don't know enough about character coding sets. I don't know if there's a place to change them on the pb.

    Hi,
    My PlayBook is configured in French and I am receiving messages in French from both French and English configurer Android tablets without any problem.
