- Just like a fine pair of shoes, I have found a comfortable fit with the Playbook.
Using it for:
Word To Go: Content creation
Evernote: Composing and reviewing notes
Piano: Hacking on some piano licks
Drums: Like to bash the buckets now and then
Cloud Reader: Reading all my Kindle book (I only own Kindle books)
IMT VNC: Connect to my laptop cuz I'm too lazy to get up
FBoard: Play chess on the free FICS server (though I'm wanting an ICC app)
Scroodle: Sketching design ideas (software engineer)
Police Scanner: Cuz I'm nosey
devianArt mobile: I like to draw too
Magellan Compass: to give some direction to my life
WebReader: to keep up with the 20 or so technical blogs I follow
HD Movies: Cuz I can
Web Browser: Full web browsing experience.
. . . and more and more and more.
Not sure what others are "waiting" for. It seems I can do plenty as-is.11-18-11 10:12 AMLike 0 - 11-18-11 03:49 PMLike 0

- Just got mine today for $199 at bestbuy after waiting in line for 45 minutes. I had a hard time finding one, they were selling out fast everywhere. I've been playing with it for almost 5 hours straight now. Have it bridged to my bold 9900 and am completely loving this thing. It is quite simply an amazing device. I'm going to try finding another one tomorrow for the wife, she fell in love with it also.
After playing with it today, I say that the regular price of $499 is a totally fair price. It is worth every penny and then some.11-18-11 08:45 PMLike 0 - To be quite honest, I haven't paid that much attention to my PB, until all of this price drop madness these past few days.
It made me appreciate my PB and I decided to buy a few games and have been steadily playing, surfing, emailing, BBM ect... since 7pm last night!
Can't wait to see how many new PB owners there are, carrying theirs around when out and about.11-19-11 06:34 PMLike 0 - Just got mine and I'm very impressed.
Running stock 1.07 and using bridge to my 9860. It's done Pandora, SiriusXM, videos, surfing, and all of the bridge functions exceptionally well.
I love the fact that it has awesome stereo front-facing speakers, and dual _decent_ cameras. HD display is brilliant. And now that I just figured out that the included charger is a.k.a. the BB premium (rapid) charger for my BB phone I'm loving it even more. And 7-inch display is great for typing whilst holding with both hands.
Thanks RIM for making a really great product.jamesbondOO7 likes this.11-19-11 06:53 PMLike 1 -
