    I had a blackberry playbook from last year. And I recently bought a Z10. I used the same BBID that I had on the playbook for the Z10. It was fine for a couple of days. Then it asked me to sign in with bb ID on playbook. I sign in with the correct password but it says you cannot change users on this playbook. Please login with the original BBID used on this Playbook. My Z10 asked me to log in again but I was able to login with the same username and password just fine. But playbook is giving me problems. I dont want do security wipe to get a new BBID. If I press cancel then it pops up every 2 minutes asking for ID and password.

    This should help:

    1. Turn your WiFi off;
    2. Go into WiFi settings and delete your network;
    3. Hold Vol +, Vol -, Power untill you see the boot screen;
    4. Turn WiFi back on;
    5. Connect to your network and then enter your BBID (if/when prompted)


    That should clear the issue, but if you do wipe, you don't need a new ID.

    It didn't work. Is there a specific site where you can reset or delete the bbid for Playbook? Like separate from z10

    Then you gotta wipe the device, but the real problem here is the password issue.

    You should not have problems using the same ID, in fact, you are expected to.

    I use the same id on the z10 and TWO PB's.

    If you do change your pb bbid, you will lose access to any apps/games you have purchased.

    Havent purchased anything so I don't mind. I just don't want to wipe. And I want the sign to go away. I think I had to delete and reset the email for the Z10 and that's how this became messed up.

    But that also doesn't have anything to do with BBIDs...

    I had that issue and seriously, not only once, and the procedure I posted did the trick. I'm at odds...

    I guess wiping is the only option left now. But I cant even back up my device. When I try to back up, it backs up only until the sign in comes on the screen again and once it comes the back up fails. This is frustrating.

    If you go to the Knowledge Base you should be able to find this and download. You should be able to change the email address you use for your Blackberry ID but you may have to go to BB support from a computer.

    THANK You. I saw this a bit too late. I already wiped both the tablets as well as z10. I had previously backed up playbook many times in the past but never tried to restore it. I tried it recently and it doesnt work. I guess I will have to start fresh again.
