    Hoping someone can help, I have my playbook and forgot the password, I have a back up but it won't connect to blackberry desktop software, I have tried entering password several times, but counter is stuck at six it will not go to ten and then wipe by itself.
    Any sugestions on what I can do to get it to do/force a security wipe?

    If I remember correctly, the 6th time you enter an incorrect password it asks you to enter the word "BlackBerry". This is some kind of security measure. You can then continue entering incorrect passwords ;-)

    Yup. Worst case scenario I think you can remove the password with cfp.

    Do a hard reboot of the device and try again.
    Be plugged into a power outlet not a pc, and once the wipe is done plug it ba K into the pc

    You can do a debrick. With the playbook off and DM open plug it in and choose update and or repair.
