I was in the process of downloading an app when my Playbook went haywire. Apps were opening and closing as if an unseen hand had taken control. It was quite disconcerting and I put a stop to it by holding the power button down. Any thoughts as to what might have caused this and whether I did the right thing in response?
Was your PlayBook near a Plasma TV or one of those Plasma balls? Some people are reporting that causes similar problems.

This can also happen when the Playbook is being charged and the charger is plugged into a faulty outlet or power bar.
No as to Plasma--I was near the LCD screen of my PC though.
Not the cause in this instance--it was not plugged in.
No idea on the cause but what I would've done is a 3 finger hard restart.
