it works great .. got to try it out with my brother n couple cousins .. WIFI only though i turned off the wifi n use tethering but i get a message sayin unable to connect to server ...

I am loving the vchat as well. Pretty good quality. I haven't tried it by tethering, but when it installs, it does say ya need a WiFi connection.

Tried it with one of my local friends here.
Works great. You can switch cameras too, just touch the bottom of the screen to bring up the controls.

did you guys try pinch zooming the picture of yourself? and you can drag the box as well.

Haven't tried the pinch/zoom, but you can check yourself before you connect(loving the preview), ya know, in case you have food in your teeth or a monkey on your back or something.

i think there is the presumed eventuality of a skype app enabling video soon...of course i won't hold my breath, even on the mighty iphone 4 it only became available over 1 year after the U.S. launch and months after the CAN launch....my guess is summer time frame....

i mean that's the whole point of video chat in terms of making it accessible and fully maximizing the use of this innovative feature....limiting to 'intra' PlayBook capabilities seems too...well....limiting...
